Without a doubt, one of the best things about a baby puree is its texture. If you cook for a short time the food will stay hard, if you go too watery, and if you cook it in a robot, you will lose much of its grace.

I love to eat purees and creams, and when I want them much more consistent they are crushed or crushed simply with a fork.

  • 6 carrots, peeled
  • 1/2 leek
  • 1/4 onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh thyme (optional)
  • A branch of rosemary (optional)
  • Mineral water

This recipe that I share with, which is not only for babies, it is very very simple, it does not have more than 2 main ingredients, rich in vitamins and beta-carotene. But if you want to give it a different touch, try adding a sprig of thyme.

1. Wash your hands and take the opportunity to wash the carrots, leek and thyme.

2. Chop the leek and onion as finely as you like and set them aside. Do the same with the carrot but this time the larger pieces.

3. In a pot, add the olive oil, the leek and the onion, the sprig of rosemary (if you like) and sauté it over a very low heat for about 5 minutes.

4. Add the carrot, cover it all with water and cover.

5. Keep it on the fire long enough for the carrot to stay soft, drain it well if there is still water left and mash everything with a fork.

6. If you do it hot you will see that it is very simple and fast.

7. And you have it ready. You will see how your child if you give it with this texture, he will appreciate it and enjoy it.

Thyme I assure you, it makes a difference.
